Knowledge is power.
With a donation, you will help to advance and share Knowledge that is literally improving and saving the lives of our military veterans. Every day, more than 20 veterans take their own lives. This is unacceptable and what drives our tireless advocacy and efforts on behalf of veterans. It is our overarching goal to provide the information, tools, and resources our veterans need to prevent and ultimately eliminate suicide. At K9s For Warriors Research Institute, we strive to publish content on our website that is informative, credible, and driven by empirical evidence produced from the scientific research we fund. We want this data-driven information to be a valuable resource for not only the veteran community, but also for those who make government policy decisions that will impact the wellbeing of our veterans. We hope you will partner with us in reaching these goals.
Reliable facts are the crux of any argument and of paramount importance when advocating for a deserving cause, such as the mental wellness of our veterans. When we promote government policy that will benefit our veterans, we know our lawmakers want to sponsor legislation supported by reliable scientific evidence. That is why we work tirelessly to make sure legitimate, peer-reviewed studies are possible. That is one reason we are funding and supporting scientific research to prove what we already know, that Service Dogs greatly improve the mental wellness of struggling war fighters.
Our sister organization, K9s For Warriors, has helped hundreds of veterans with remarkable results. But testimonials only go so far when confronting the VA and lawmakers. That is why we teamed up with Purdue University, and we already have amazing peer-reviewed published results from their research, but these studies are just the tip of the iceberg. Financial support is critical to funding this life-saving research for our warriors who suffer from Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury or Military Sexual Trauma. Your contribution will go toward these efforts and our ultimate goal of ending veteran suicide.
