K9s For Warriors Research Institute

What we do

K9s For Warriors Research Institute is dedicated to leading public dialogue and partnering with prestigious academic institutions who conduct and publish data driven results from rigorous scientific research. These studies are directed at solving problems facing our veterans. We aim to prove which treatments work for veterans suffering from Post-traumatic Stress Disability, traumatic brain injuries and/or military sexual trauma. This includes the efficacy of service dogs, shaping public policy initiatives that improve veteran quality of life, and most importantly, preventing veteran suicide.

How we do it

Our role is to compile this information, discuss solutions, and arm people with this knowledge so we can begin healing our post-combat veterans.

We understand the importance of pooling knowledge, resources, and experts together. The issues facing our veterans are too large, too complex for one entity or organization to tackle on their own. At least, for now. We gather information from all kinds of credible sources, and we support the continued research of post-combat mental health crisis. Whether that is through empowering people with information, funds, or endorsements, we dream of a day where veterans have every cutting-edge treatment readily available to them. With strategic partnerships, tenacity, and a reliance on empirical evidence, we know that reality is within reach.

How you can help

Spread the word. Share our content. Start discussions. Donate. Support research. Vote for legislation that provides resources to organizations fighting the good fight. There are countless ways veterans, civilians, clinicians, and policy-makers can make an impact.
